LATEST IN THE BLOG
Usually I don’t like to venture out without my partner in crime, but he was working late and the sunset looked like it was going to be promising. I grabbed my cameras, hopped in the car and drove down to the place where I’ve already posted some pretty sunset photos from: Edgewater Drive Park. When I got there, the sun had just ducked behind some left over storm clouds from earlier in the day. There was a small but perfect gap just below the clouds and the horizon, so I wandered around and waited for the sun to peek back out the bottom side.
It’s sort of hard to predict a sunset – sometimes the moments before the sun drops off the horizon are more beautiful, but sometimes it’s the moments after where the clouds light up with vibrant colors that are more captivating. The latter was the case yesterday.
Although the water wasn’t glassy smooth, it was calm enough that the cloud reflections caught my eye and became the focus.
As the last of the major storm clouds drifted apart, the moon popped out from behind them and was more stunning than the sunset.
I was so happy with the shots I got that I went back out again tonight, but unfortunately a storm rolled in and gray clouds blocked out what might’ve been. Nevertheless, I’m sure I’ll be back out there soon.
